niESPITE the refusal by the Board of
Trade to give financial assistance towards the cost of a new factory at Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead, Smith's Delivery Vehicles, Ltd., will go ahead with their plans.
Subject to usual formalities, Smith's are acquiring a nine-acre site on Eastern Avenue. They have obtained the necessary money to proceed with the construction of a new I20,000-sq.-ft. factory.
The company will exhibit at the British Exhibition at the Coliseum, New York, U.S.A., from June 10-26.
