ACONTRACT has been placed for the construction of two single-storey transit sheds at No. 12 quay, King George Dock, Hull. The new sheds will each be 500 ft. long and 150 ft. wide, and the contract also provides for associated works to improve road and rail facilities.

Electrically operated steel-shutter doors will be provided at the ends of the sheds, where internal platforms will be built for dealing with road traffic.
