FLEXIBLE scheme aimed at elping local authorities wercome current restrictions in veir capital expenditure budats is to be launched by ShelDice and Drewry.
Called Fleetplan, the scheme ffers vehicle leasing, long-term iring, maintenance of existing eets, and a refuse-collection ervice.
The attraction of leasing and ,ng-term hiring is that hardressed local authorities can we new vehicles without digng into their capital, says manjer of SD Contracts Ltd Len ewman. Long-term leasing so offers considerable tax ad3ntages.
Mr Newman says there has een a big drop in municipal 'ders recently, although Shel)ke and Drewry is still mainining its 40 per cent market 'are.
