OAD Haulage Association ational chairman Ken Rogers ot cold comfort from Transport ecretary Norman Fowler last_ reek when he passed the indusy's post-Budget blues on to le Minister.
Mr Rogers reported the inclus-y's anger and disillusion over le tax increases contained in le Budget, and warned that ley could lead to further col)bse of the industry, especially mong small operators.
But while Mr Fowler "fully )ok" Mr Rogers' points, he re-lincled him that Government trategy is to reduce inflation nd public borrowing, and dded that the effects on indus-y are not one-sided, as the two er cent cut in minimum lending ate should ease its burdens.
