FROM NEXT month, the For Transit will be available fror Ford Dealers, fitted with foul wheel drive, in-'step' picku body, chassis cab, van and crew bus form.
The transmission provides fc two-wheel drive, four-when drive in normal ratio, and fou wheel drive in low ratio.
The Transit is manufacture by Ford Motor Company Lt while NAM Special Vehicles Ltc of Newton Abbot, makes and fit the four-wheel-drive system t provide payloads of up to 35cw1 Final prices have yet to be ar nounced, but the chassis ca 4x4 is expected to retail at undE £7,000 for the Transit 100, an up to approximately £8,500 fr the larger 190 model.
