A MEANS for overcoming the difficulty of filling the grease guns used iii the lubrication of chassis parts of commercial motors and other motor vehicles has been introduced by Barrett, Tagant and Cutts, Ltd., of Curneon Works, London, S.W.6. This company is marketing a solidified lubricant in the form of " Greasettes," these being conveniently shaped sticks made B28
by a special process from pure oil and containing no extraneous ingredients, such as lime-soap greases, which would impair their lubricative properties. They are so shaped as to be easily slipped into the empty grease gun, being held either in the fingers or on a simple metal fork which is supplied with the " Greasettes."
They are packed conveniently in tins of half-a-dozen or so, different sizes being available for the various standard grease guns. " Greasettes " have high melting temperature, rendering them satisfactory in all ordinary climatic conditions, and their use results in a saving of time and material, apart from avoiding much inconvenience and messiness in loading a gun.
