Sir John Eden has resigned from the board of British Timken, following his appointment as Minister of State at the Ministry of Technology.

Julian Amery has resigned from the board of Dennis Bros following his appointment as Minister of Public Building and Works. Mr Amery has been succeeded at Dennis by Lord Cobham, a former Governor General of New Zealand.

Aubrey McElhatton, 35, has been appointed general manager of Normandy Ferries, and will be based at the company's Southampton office. Mr McElhatton joined Irish Shipping Ltd as economist in 1963 and, for the past three years, has been general manager of Normandy Ferries' operations in Ireland.

R. H. Roberts, formerly traffic manager of the Yorkshire Traction company, has succeeded S. Smith as Maidstone and District Motor Services' traffic manager.
