Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BELGIAN bodybuilder, Bus and Car. has opened a sales office in London and is seeking a distributor to sell its long-distance coaches and city bus models in Britain. The company is a subsidiary of the American Continental Trailways concern which operates intercity bus lines. Until recently all its vehicles were produced by Bus and Car at its factory in Bruges. Belgium, but US vehicles are now being built at a new plant at Brownsville, Texas.

The main product the company hopes to sell in the UK is a European version of its M12 coach. Used in the States, this is a two-axle vehicle with rear-mounted GM two-stroke diesel engine. It has a number of sophisticated features which is why, says Bus and Car, it costs about 70 per cent more than an equivalent British vehicle. The company's city buses are a new development and are currently being sold in Israel and Belgium. The company is eager to develop them for the highly specialized UK market.

Both long and shortdistance models are at present integrals but Bus and Car is considering producing separate body versions for the UK. It is looking at various British chassis.

Bus and Car's UK office is at 124 Regent Street, London W I (tel 01-7345213; telex 269288). Mr E. Eleazer is in charge of international sales.
