The oil debacle has pleased at least Cyril Bleasdale, managing director of Freightliners He is quoted in the TSSA Journal as saying: "'Events in Iran and their impact upon the price of oil, combined with the forthcoming EEC legislation, ensure an even brighter future for us as part of the British Rail family."
This is just the kind of consolation that Bobby Lawrence, chairman of the National Freight Corporation, needs on the loss of a carefully nurtured and promising investment.
