ALCOA Manufacturing (GB) Ltd, of Droitwich, a subsidiary of the Aluminium Company of America, has updated information of its aluminium products manufactured at Swansea.
The product range includes strip in coil, sheet, colour' sheet and profiled building sheet. Alcoa colour sheet has a body-building application.
The material is produced from coils of aluminium strip, reverse roller-coated and then stoved under controlled conditions to give a hard longlasting finish ans a surface quality that is not possible with spray painting.
A number of paint formulations can be specified and include acrilic, vinyl, siliconemodified polyester, fluorocarbon (PVF2), stain-resistant and vinyl-modified polyester.
Alcoa claims its colour sheet can be bent, drilled, punched and cut without any significant micro-cracking, spalling or chipping.
