But Tony Hemming from Felixstowebased AJS Loadtruck claims that the Treasury representatives "didn't give a sod". 'They seemed happy as long as the Dutch hauliers (who have taken over a lot of his work) are employing British drivers," he adds.
Hemming says he has re-registered three of his seven trucks in the UK but will flag the remaining four out to Holland when their tax runs out, saving £900 per truck.
