Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Schoolchildren in South Wales learnt a valuable lesson before they broke up for their summer hols—Winston Thomas MBE, from the community affairs unit of BP Chemicals Port Talbot, together with a team of volunteers including some from BRS Newport, put together a road safety programme for primary schools.

Winston ensured that he had the nippers' full attention from the start by placing a £10 note under the rear wheels of a truck. When the youngsters made a dive for the dosh, Winston stopped them in their tracks by asking: "Is it worth losing your life for £10?" With the message well and truly driven home, he had the little darlings' full attention as he warned of the dangers of playing under and around parked trucks.

Nearly 1,000 children took part in the three-day course, during which time they visited various sites where they saw a fire appliance, a road tanker (courtesy of P&O), a maximum-length artic, a 7.5-tonner (courtesy of BRS), a JCB and a cement mixer.

• Pictured here are teacher Helen Rowe and pupils from Rhosofan Primary School in Port Talbot; who are being shown the dangers of playing alongside a maximumlength artic.
