Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Hauliers are urged to apply for the Department of Transport's new security listing to ensure smoother air freight transfers.

Regulations requiring security screening for air cargo were announced by aviation minister Lord Caithness earlier this month.

The call comes from Roy Bowles, who operates 120 trucks carrying air cargo and is a mem

ber of the London Air Cargo Promotion Group.

Hauliers on the list will be legally responsible for checking the air cargo in their possession before delivering it to airlines.

Bowles says the listing is necessary because "one day the haulier may arrive at the airport, find a security scare on and that he is locked out".
