• City Glass Works, now part of Pilkington Distribution Services, has added two of the latest Seddon-Atkinson Strato 17-tonners to its glass delivery fleet, The 6.2m wheelbase 1721P rigids are sleeper-cabbed and have 7.3m glass-carrying body systems from St Helens-based Supertrucks. Full-length 3.25m-high racks fitted inside and outside the body can hold up to 10 tonnes of laminated glass.
A concertina sliding roof opens full length for overhead crane loading.
Supertrucks also supplies glass carrying body kits into Germany and Belgium.
