Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

surgery to one eye. This mei that contact lenses are nec. sary, and would give me 6 vision.

What is my legal requirem. for driving? There was a r about spectacles only, bu cannot find what this is.

AThough the regulations not preclude the use contact lenses, the Medi Commission on Accident F vention has recommended t hgv drivers should not w them. The reason is that i driver sneezes, for instance, t could cause contact lenses to out and leave him with impai eyesight. The danger to rc safety is obvious.

Therefore, a doctor called to provide a medical certific for the issue of an hgv lice, would be obliged to refer to use of contact lenses in doinc and the Licensing Autho would take this into considE tion in deciding whether to is such a licence.

You might consider us spectacles in place of cont lenses when driving hgv. BL this is not .feasible for t reason, it is recommended t you inform the LA who isst your licence, of the change circumstances.
