WE regret to record the deaths of Brig.-Gen Sir Harry Osborne Mance, Mr. Thomas Potts Mr. Arthur Thompson and Mrs. Evelyn Vick Wadham.

Sir Harry, a former president of the Institut, of Transport, served in the South African War a deputy assistant director of railways ant armoured trains. During the First World War h, was director of railways and roads at the Wa Office. Shortly after the war he was transporta thin adviser to the British delegation in Paris, ant was also president of the communications sec tion of the Supreme Economic Council. He pub lished many works on transport.

Mr. Potts was for many years transpor manager of Doncaster Corporation until he retired 13 years ago. He spent nearly 5t years with the Transport Department, beim appointed traffic manager in 1917 and trans port manager three years later.

Mr. Thompson joined Fodens Ltd. as at office boy in 1907 and was with the compam for more than 50 years, retiring in 1962 He was chief buyer for more than eigh years and during his last 16 years witl Fociens was labour and publicity manager.

Mrs. Wadham was the widow of Join Harold Wadham, founder in 1905 and senio partner of Wadham Bros., from whicl grew the present motor business of Wadhan (Holdings) Ltd. On the death of her husban, in 1947 she became a director of Wadham Ltd.
