A LL-METAL btis bodies are to be made in India by a subsidiary of Hindustan Aircraft, Ltd., Bangalore.
In the next few years prefabricated bodies will be manufactured for delivery in knocked-down condition. Later it is planned to supply Indian-designed bodies of four different types for city and country bus services.
The Governments of India is exploring the possibility of establishing a factory to produce oil engines. Negotiations are in progress with the Steyr company of Austria and an offer from the Isotta-Frasehini concern of Italy is under consideration.
At present, India meets her oil-engine requirements by importing from Britain.
