THE Bristol Co-operative Society has announced its intention to enter the field of motor trading, petrol supply and garage repair work with the hope of establishing a chain of trading enterprises on all trunk roads in the Bristol area,
The Society has just purchased its first garage and filling station, Messrs. Clark,. of Gloucester Road North', Filton, Bristol, An adjacent property, Bibury Lodge, has been purchased to provide extensions to the garage. .
The intention of the Society is to link its travel and coach departments with the garage. The new 'development will be in the charge of Mr. F. Starr, the Society's transport manager.
