Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SAFEWAY IS to meet representatives from the GMB union today (9 October) for the second week running, to discuss drivers' fears over the supermarket's CNG (compressed natural gas) trucks.

GMB organiser Jeff Goswell says further investigations were being carried out this week into the drivers' allegation that the re-engined Scania 3-Series trucks are prone to sudden engine !allure and extreme heat build-up in the cab.

-Our difficulty is that the company continues to say that the vehicles have been checked and are safe," he adds„"but some drivers are clearly still worried."

One Safeway driver has refused to continue driving CNG vehicles because he believes they are unsafe, He has been suspended on full pay for the past four weeks but declines to comment on his position.

Another driver, who asked not to be named, says he has only driven the CNG trucks on four occasions but on three of these he had to be towed hack: "On one trip the engine died during the early hours on the M26. I managed to get onto the hard shoulder but it was extremely foggy so it would have been hard for other drivers to see me."

Safeway and Scania both declined to comment on the issue.
