Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Our initial impressions weren't good on our encounter with The Davis Group—the rep may have been having a bad day, but he sounded like he didn't really want to be there. However, he dutifully ran us through the procedure. Interestingly, this began with an inquisition into our 0-licence application status; Davis was the only broker to take any interest in this.

He took all the usual details, asked about trailers, and advised us of a £500 excess on the vehicle policy. Again, he wanted a letter from our previous employer to confirm a clean licence and also asked for written confirmation of our 0-licence status when we submitted our proposal form.

With an introductory no-claims discount of 25%, we were offered a vehicle premium of £4,725 with Brit Insurance. The now familiar £472.50 combined goods-in-transit/public liability policy from Axa made its customary appearance a little further down the line.

He may have sounded dour, but he was the only person we contacted who gave us an immediate quote on the phone. It took just 21 minutes and was competitive enough to be worth the wait.

When the paperwork arrived it confirmed everything he'd said down to the penny and included details of a free uninsured loss recovery service, including legal expenses and help with injury claims. It also advised us to notify all customers of our conditions of carriage and to get their written acknowledgement.Again, employer's liability of 110m was automatically included. He also thoughtfully sent us details of a C and trailer replacement policy and personal accident/hospital benefit cover.

Separate proposal forms were included fc all the policies, along with a credit agreemen proposal and a copy of the firm's terms of Ix ness. Top marks. If we really were setting up business tomorrow,The Davis Group woulc be our broker of choice. •
