Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

EVERY FLEET operator with 10 or more vehicles on the road has this week received a telephone hotline information leaflet which has been produced as part of the Respect for People project. This is designed to improve the way employees are managed in the transport industry.

The hotline will allow operators to keep themselves fully up-to-date with the progress of the project, which was launched back in June (CM 26 June).

Peter Acton of Peter Acton Associates, one of the companies running the project says the leaflet campaign has already led to 50 operators signing up to the project. It is aiming to develop benchmarks and key performance indicators to improve driver management within the industry.

"People might say that 50 is a small number and that 300 hits to our website in the last two to three weeks is also small but every day the project is building," says Acton.

"I am confident that operators are beginning to find the project of value," he adds.
