Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Anton Industries, of Chesterfield, have added another model, a 50/70-ton lowloader, to their range of 74-ton gross train weight outfits. Special features in the design, to meet the conditions of fast loading required on pipe laying work for the North Sea gas project, are included.

Speedy detachment of the goose-neck in four minutes is achieved by using built-in hydraulic rams, housed in the Foden tractive unit chassis. Automatic spring-brakes, eliminating heavy hand-brake linkage, are fitted and the running gear is designed to meet arduous off-road conditions. Brakes are 16.75in. by 10in, and the four oscillating sprung axles have Michelin 0.20 single formation tyres. Inner wheel changes on the leading bogies can be made by removing a trap door and lowering the spare wheel into position, or, on the rear bogies, by passing it through from the rear.

The design utilizes a unique chassis construction, with 10 main beams giving strength for side loading as well as forward loading. The deck area is 22ft by 9ft 6in. plus 9in.; outriggers give an overall width of lift.
