RD ROOTES, chairman of the Rootes Gtoup, announced in Paris week that three representatives of the Isjer Corporation. will be joining the tes Motors Ltd. board during rber,. They are: Mr. Irving J. Minett, p vice-president, International Opera Chrysler Corporation; Mr. Louis R. 'en, a director of the Chrysler_ Cortion, and ME Robert C. Mitchell, dent and managing director of vster International. . Os move -follows the acceptance by sharehoiders of Rootes Motors Ltd. he Chrysler Corporation's offer to .ire 30 per cent of the ordinary voting shares in the company and 50 per cent of the non-voting "A ".shares. Speaking in Paris on the eve of the opening of the International Motor Show, Lord Rootes•declared:- This marriage of our two groups, does not mean any diminution of the Rootes family interests, financial or otherwise, in Rootes Motors. It is, in fact, a real partnership that is being established with the Chrysler Corporation and which we are sure will bring advantages to all parties concerned, including an increase in the scope and activities of Rootes Motors Ltd.. both in cars and commercial vehicles."
