No action has been taken against the licence held by Bourton-on-the-Water-based haulier Peter Gilder & Son for alleged breaches of the drivers' hours and tachograph rules.
Western TC Philip Brown was told that a traffic examiner discovered what he thought were infringements. The company had gone to the expense of employing a tacho expert who disputed some of Vosa's findings. One driver said to have falsified a chart had been sacked on the spot.
Drivers' licences suspended
Ten drivers employed by Newton-le-Willowsbased Keith & Graham Whittaker. trading as R Whittaker & Sons. have had their LGV driving licences suspended for periods of between one day and four weeks because of drivers hours and tacho offences.
