IN THE 12 OCI'OB FR issue of your magazine you published an update on the ferry industry.

I was a little surprised to see that one of the most important developments of 2006 was not mentioned —the re-establishment after a gap of many years of short sea ferry services from the port of Tilbury to the near Continent.The geographical location of Tilbury must interest international h auliers operating in the South of the UK.

In July the Belgian company Ferryways established what is now a twice-daily service between Tilbury and Ostend.This service supplements Ferryways' wellestablished services from Ipswich and Immingham to Ostend.
