The A5 guide, produced by the Department of Transport, Foreign Office, Road Haulage Association and Freight Transport Association, provides information on a variety of legal and travel problems that can be encountered when going overseas. The leaflet contains a list of checks both operators and drivers should make with advice on how to avoid trouble and information about the powers of the British Consul. Also provided is a list of useful names and contacts. The guide is free and available from either the FTA, RHA or DOT.
