• Whale Tankers has won a £1.5 million contract to supply Severn Trent Water with up to 50 sludge tankers over the next five years. This year 21 units worth nearly £0.75 million will be delivered to start the fleet replacement programme.
Foden sales up
Foclen's truck registrations were up 28% to the end of September 1989, compared with September last year. Tractor sales increased by 32% after the launch of the twin-steer 4000 Series in April. Parent company PACCAR has boosted sales by 11% this year.
