Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LEYLAND has developed a completely new 16-tonne chassis cab for local refuse collection, aimed at breaking the domination in that market of Dennis, Shelvoke and Seddon Atkinson.

Its prototype was shown for the first time this week in London, and production is scheduled to start next spring.

Main modifications on the Freighter 16.13 standard model are that the cab floor has been moved forward 30cm relative to the front axle, and the cab floor dropped by 15cm. The crew cab is designed to carry six, and has a heightened roof.

This redesign creates easier access and reduces the problem of overloading the rear axle, which is an increasing concern among operators.

Changes at the rear of the chassis also help to spread the load more evenly. These include the fitting of asymmetric rear springs.

At the front, the modifications allow a front-mounted power take-off and a bumper tow-hitch.
