THE FREIGHT capacity on the Townsend Thoresen service between Europoort (Rotterdam) and Felixstowe is to increase by almost 25 per cent next spring.
This is as a result of the company re-deploying its fleet and chartering two larger Stella Line vessels for the Europoort route.
Similarly, a vessel with almost twice the existing freight capacity will move on to the Larne-Cairnryan route across the Irish Sea.
• B & I Line plans to close its Rosslare-Pembroke service and operate a joint service with Sealink between Rosslare and Fishguard and CO transfer its Dublin services to Dun Laoghaire.
