Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HEADED by a Diamond -1 six-wheeler powered by a Herceles 250 b.h.p. oil engine, and tailed by a Scammell four-wheeler, one of the new-type Crane trailers with hydraulic suspension arrived in London last week, carrying a 111-ton B.T.H. transformer. The outfit started from Rugby at mid-day on Monday and reached its destination in North London at mid-day the following Wednesday.

One of the outstanding of the many interesting features

of the trailer is its extreme manceuvrability, which was well demonstrated when the outfit reached its destination—a new power station being erected by the British Electricity Authority. The entrance was unnecessarily obstructed and led off from a narrow street, but as all eight twin-wheel assemblies are free to pivot abont their own centres, no undue difficulty was experienced, despite the fact that the total length of the outfit was 100 ft.

The auxiliary hydraulic steering materially assisted in the manceuvre, which would have proved impossible with any normal type of trailer. The hydraulic pumps are electrically driven, the power being obtained from a small generating plant forming part of thz• equipment.

The work was carried out by Robert Wynn and Sons, Ltd.. Newport. Mr. Robert Wynn, supervised the tricky final stages of the journey.
