MOTWITHSTANDING an objection I 'by Huddersfield and Halifax district committee of the East and West Ridings Regional Boa, d for Industry, and earlier protests from other quarters. Halifax Transport Committee has decided to adhere to its decision not to grant extra workmen's fare facilities to people working staggered hours under' power-economy schemes.
When the committee's decision was , made known, the local branch of the Amalgamated Engineering Union stated that the town's 3,000 engineering workers would be urged not to work staggered hours.
