THE annual report of John I. Thorny' croft and Co., Ltd., states that ils wholly owned subsidiary, Transport Equipment (Thornycroft), Ltd., has substantial orders in hand. These are divided between the home market (18 per cent.), export requirements (49 per cent.) and armament (33 per cent.) Production is being severely handicapped by lack of material and shortage of labour," the report adds.
