T" Quebec Road Transport Association will ask the Provincial Prime Minister to appeal to the Privy Council against a recent ruling of the Supreme Court of Canada that the Federal Government has jurisdiction over interprovincial and international road transport. The Association's executive says that the Canadian railways have been seeking to restrict road operators through national control.
The Federal Minister of Transport, recently indicated in the Canadian House of Commons that no legislation would be introduced during this session dealing with Federal control of interprovincial and international road traffic.
