truck of the week is a 2008-registered Daf LF45 reefer. Registered with a 58-plate, it is a 7.5-tonne GVW Euro-4 mil LF45.160 with a 3.9-litre engine, an automated transmission, and insulated refrigeration box with a Carrier unit fitted underneath the body.
The body has barn doors at the rear as well as side doors. ATE Trailers is selling the truck and price is on application.
At 7.5 tonnes, the Daf LF45 replaced Iveco's Eurocargo as the leading seller and has not looked back since. It is affordable from new, holds respectable residual values on the open market and can be sourced from a range of outlets.
The reefer fetches more than tippers, dropsides, boxes and curtainsiders because of the number available and the extra kit.
If you are interested in this truck, you'll need to find out what sort of system the Carrier unit is and what temperatures it can achieve. With no tail-lift, it looks like it's been used on multi-drop foodstuff deliveries for things such as pasties and sandwiches.
