Daf Trucks is stepping up its le-stop-shop" service with launch of its Truck Related rts service (TAP), It is an allikes and trailer programme it's "100% ours" says Daf icks' newly-appointed UK ss Stuart Hunt. Customers will be able order parts electronically with single-point invoicing—fleet operators will be able to purchase parts nationally and receive a single monthly invoice.

The operation has got off to a flying start with the news that, together with WV vans, it has won a huge contract to supply parts for Consignia. TAP will be the first-option supplier of parts for the postal operator's fleet of 35,000 vans, trucks and trailers.

Hunt describes the multimillion-pound contract as "ground-breaking", adding: "When you consider the Consignia fleet is the largest in Europe, and that each truck in the fleet consumes around £1,200 worth of parts annually, you get some idea of the deal!"

Oaf and LDV will supply all makes of parts to Consignia's 150 workshops throughout the country. Ultimately those workshops will be able to order their parts directly online.
