Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HAVE read about the concerr expressed by the Road Haula Association express carriers functional group about certair transport consultants acting a middlemen between hauliers and customers (CM, April 11).

I feel it would be helpful to point out to operators in the industry that many consultanl myself included, do not opera in this way.

It seems clear from the information given in the Pres: that the consultants referred t are acting as nothing more th. transport clearing houses, an' would be in everybody's inter if they were to be honest and declare themselves as such.

It may be that the consulter concerned are acting solely ir their clients' interest, but on tl other hand the situation suggests commission oayme to the consultants from operators anxious to gain business.

In such cases, in my view, ti are not fulfilling the tradition role of consultant which is th of providing advice and assistance.
