His Chevrolet LT 11931), picred at a local agricultural ow, has a cracked cylinder Dck and won't be back on the ad for a week or two.
In the past it has won several 'lards at Brighton, including e CM Trophy and the Leyland le. And Ken Taylor tells me at he will be back next year if can manage it. Other vehicles :ing restored on Jersey, he ys, include a late-Twenties Inrnational and a late-Thirties Age.
Ken's Chev was bought new in ay 1931 by Mr Du Feu, a local iilder, from Barnes, the Bedrd agent. "When the Channel ands were occupied in 1940, a Germany Army used Mr Du
o and the lorry on coastal deice work, so it must have had .ough time," says Ken.
It returned to normal work ter the war until 1964, and then as left in a shed until 1970 -len Ken acquired it for £50. It ok him almost three years to store it.
