WHILE the arguments about privatisation of commercial vehi test stations go on, London Transport has meanwhile been giu permission to establish eight freedom from defect bus test centre There will be one centre in each operating district, with the nevi, opened Ash Grove serving Abbey, New Cross for Selkent, Croyd for Wandle, Willesden for Watling, Stamford Brook for Tower, P ters Bar for Leaside, Loughton for Forest, and Shepherd's Bush Cardinal.
According to LT, the new arrangements will enable it to establis more regular flow of overhauls, and so improve the standard of fleet.
