SCANIA and Van Hoot have won a contract to supply 457 BR116 rear-engined coaches for Algeria's national bus company, SNTV.
The vehicles will be integral types with Van Hool-Alithe bodywork adapted to Algerian requirements. The order means that for the first time Scania will produce more rear-engined than front engined chassis.
