A NEW short engine excha plan has been announced Perkins Engines of Pete rough.
The scheme, opera through the Perkins UK net of 33 power centres and distr tors, is tailored to meet specific needs of operators wish to exchange parts rat than the entire unit.
A Perkins short engine eludes matched cylinder 131 crankshaft, piston rings, lin connecting rods, big and s end bushes and seals workshop manual is a supplied with each engine.
The short engine program extends to 17 units within Perkins range which inclu three-, four-, sixand eight-cy der units from 35 to 180bhp.
The components offered in exchange plan are tested un the same conditions as th used on production engines ; carry a year's unlimited mile, or hours guarantee.
The new short engine sche complements the Perkins Po) Exchange engine plan when the entire engine is exchanj for a factory remanufactu unit.
