Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE DENNIS Dominator 6,63rnm (18ft 6in) wheelbase bus chassis with fully automatic gearbox and power steering has been chosen as a basis for a mobile control unit for the Tyne and Wear Fire Brigade.

The complete vehicle is 10.97m (36ft) long and 3.2m wide, and with all roof equipment stowed, the overall height has been kept within 3.2m (loft 6in).

The body, constructed by Angloco at Batley, West Yorkshire, is divided into three compartments and incorporates pneumatically operated folding doors with a central locking system giving separate access to the three main operational compartments.

So that the Control Unit is selfsupporting while attending a major fire, detailed attention has been given to electrical and other services. Two independent 24v circuits each with their own banks of 24v alkaline batteries, are charged either from the vehicle engine, when it is in use, or from the 10kW 240v portable generator via a built in fast charger. This is also wired to operate from a mains supply.

Full air conditioning has been installed to maintain specified inside temperatures. Considerable ingenuity was needed in housing a variety of sophisticated equipment in this multi-purpose machine which may be required to reach difficult locations.

Weight distribution was calculated for maximum stability and during a tilt test it remained stable when the public service vehicle tilt table reached the limit of its travel.
