A GROUP training association in the Midlands, specifically for the freight forwarding industry, is likely to be formed if subscriptions from companies are sufficient.
In conjunction with the International Freight Forwarding Training Council, the Institute of Freight Forwarders has made a local feasibility study into establishing a group training association in the Midlands to serve both Institute trading members and non-member companies.
A GTA could ensure provision for the training needs of all staff from new entrants to managers at a cost which could be lower than most in-house training schemes, it is claimed.
