Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ABEL SYSTEMS Ltd has developed a demountable body system—Uni-Swop 327—designed specifically for the Ford Transit and Bedford CF ranges. The equipment operates pneumatically and, the company claims, costs up to 40 per cent less than hydraulic systems available.

The lifting equipment is operated by a single pneumatic lift-pack at the rear of the chassis which raises a lifting frame that is hinged on a mounting behind the cab. Body location is achieved with tapered rollers mounted beneath the body unit. The body unit is secured with ISO twistlocks. The supporting legs are detachable and can be left at base to increase payload.

The system can be supplied so that it can operate from an airline at the vehicle's base depot or from an air cylinder that can be carried on the vehicle, or left at the depot. A single air-cylinder enables approximately 20 lifts to be made.

The equipment weighs 127kg (2.5cwt) and with a 3m (10ft) aluminium box body, allows for a payload of 1.77 tonnes (1.75 tons) operating at 3.32 tonnes (3.27 tons) gvw.
