Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by CM reporter A MAJOR BID for a slice of the export market is now being launched by Plaxtons (Scarborough) Ltd. Versions of its all-steel Supreme body have already been sold to customers in Scandinavia, and, in ckd form, the Far East.

The Supreme—shown for the first time at last year's Earls Court Show—is available only in the UK at present on the Bedford VAS and Bristol LHS chassis. The body has a welded tubular steel underframe with a full-length, under-waist prestressed truss panel. Exterior panelling is aluminium with side and roof skins insulated to minimise heat and noise. Special attention has been paid to corrosion proofing.

For export markets only at present the Supreme body is being offered in 10, 11 and 12m form. The company has appointed an agent in Denmark

and is currently producing export bodies on Ford, Volvo and Magirus Deutz chassis. The next development — to be shown at the Frankfurt Show later this year — will be a body mounted on the new Mercedes 0.303 chassis,

Ckd versions of the Supreme are being shipped to various parts of the Far East. The latest contract involves final assembly in Manila. The company has also developed its well-known Panorama Elite body for export uses. This long-runner still has some wood inserts in its construction. First orders call for supply to the Dominican Republic with left-hand drive Bedford VAM chassis being used. The vehicles have 45 seats and full

air-conditioning. A roofmounted unit by Thermo King is powered by an independent diesel engine.
