Mr. E. S. Shrapnell-Smith, C.B.E., the president of the Commercial Motor Users Association, attended at the brewery of Thomas Wethered and Sons, Ltd., Marlow, a Jew days ago, to distribute the prizes won by the company's drivers and vebicTee on the occasion of the recent London parade.
Colonel Stevens, the managing director of the compan. made an" interesting speech, in which he referred to the work which led to the fleet of vehicles being successful in the parade, and had something to say of each individual driver. Mr.. Shrapnell-Snalth, in reply, said that that was the first time the cup had gone out of London. Be referred to the method, of judging the vehicles and the number of marks awarded to the fleet. He also spoke of his connection with the motor transport industry in the early days and of the great advances which have been made.
