• Stars from Britain's toprated television comedy series Bread will join top celebrities like Jimmy Saville, Geoff Capes, Showaddywaddy and Chris Tarrant at Europe's premier truck show, The Commercial Motor Truckfest '89.
Staged at the East of England Showground at Peterborough, on Sunday 30 April and Monday 1 May, Truckfest '89 will feature the best of Britain's premium trucks, with topspecification vehicles from the Continent and Scandinavia.
Steve Murty stages his comeback at Truckfest this year following the accident in which he was injured attemp ting a record in his Wheelie Truck. Murty plans to break the truck wheely record at Truckfest this year. He also plans to topple a removals pantechnicon with the blast from his Rolls Royce powered Pirelli Pro Jet truck.
Television's monster truck Sky High will be making a crushing comeback to Truckfest, with an attempt to smash eight cars in one go, four times as many as last year.
This year, the driver's evening on Sunday 30 April promises to be particularly entertaining, featuring top rock band Showaddywaddy, and television dance troupe Dansatak.
