Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Transfleet has won a major five-year contract hire deal with Marley Extrusions for which it will supply over 2650,000 worth of vehicles.

The fleet of 16 vehicles supplied by Transfleet for the company's Maidstone depot will comprise 13 Renault Midliner 13-tonners, three Renault G290 prime movers and three drawbar trailers.

McDonald Kane will produce the 20 bodies included in the deal, each will be interchangeable via their "Paylift" system. Curtainsiders will account for five of the 7.62m bodies while the remainder will be of alloy "Clipfit" construction.

Marley expects to double shift the G290's, night trunldng out loaded bodies and returning the empties while the solo prime mover and the Midliners will distribute the loads during the day.

Simon Cavalier, distribution director for Marley, says the company's move to demounts and drawbars through contract hire was prompted by rapid growth and the need for versatility in the vehicle fleet and operation. The company transferred its Scottish depot over to contract hire 18 months ago.
