• Transport and distribution services group Hays, which bought specialist distributor Bucks last November, is considering a Stock Exchange flotation next year to help fund further acquisitions.
The distribution side of the company, which incorporates Bucks, Hays Distribution Services, Hays Marine Services and Hays Chemical Distribution, accounts for roughly 40% of the group's profits.
Hays returned a pre-tax profit of 215.3 million for the six months to 31 December on a turnover of 2289.2 million.
