THE FACOM model 605B hacksaw has a pump action for cutting intricate shapes and holes in large panels. It is also possible to cut holes in "blind" panels or even enclosed tanks.

A hole is drilled to blade depth and the saw positioned in the hole. Push the handle and the blade supporting tube slides in and out of the body which has a spring return. The blade goes through the panel with a maximum stroke of 160mm (6.3in) supported by four steel ball bearings.
