THE EUROPEAN transport industry's fight to stop Switzerland's border taxes is likely to extend to a test court case.
The International Road Transport Union (IRU) is encouraging operators to bombard the Swiss authorities with applications to reclaim the taxes.
If these are rejected, which seems likely, a series of test cases will then be taken through the courts to test the validity of the surcharges on foreign operators.
